Meet Bubbles. This poor elephant lost almost all of her family members back in 1961. Poachers slaughtered them for ivory, but thankfully, Bubbles was one of the few that managed to survive. She was adopted by Myrtle Beach Safari in 1983. She slowly started recovering. She grew more than 9000 pounds and she also developed a passion for swimming.
That was how the big girl met Bella. The Labrador was owned by a contractor who built Bubbles’ swimming area. But he left her behind. Bubbles and Bella both loved swimming, so they quickly became friends. The pooch loves spending time with the elephant, and the elephant is very calm and patient when it comes to her canine buddy.
