The Copa America is a very famous football championship in Latin America. However, last year, one Columbian fan took things too far. Columbia was about to face Costa Rica. That’s when Fernando Villanueva from Medellin, Colombia took toxic paint and dyed a dog the national colors of his country’s flag – yellow, red, and blue.

Fernando was so proud of his work that he even uploaded a photo on Facebook. A recent law in Colombia promises harsher punishments for those who are cruel to animals, and this right here qualifies as cruelty.

If you want to show support and dye something, use your own body. Ruining a dog’s coat is not the answer.
