Mobula rays have a couple of different names. Often known as flying rays or devil fish of the ocean, they are quite similar in appearance to manta rays and fall under the category of eagle rays. They can attain a disc width of up to 5.2m (17 feet). Mobula rays can weigh more than a ton and are the second largest Manta species in size. Other than these facts, nothing more is known about them. This is also the reason why this specific clip is so special.
The video below features a wonderful event that was captured by NatGeo off the coast of Baja. A record-breaking school of mobula rays came together in the ocean. This gathering of thousands of rays is going to take your breath away! It looks really surreal!
