In June of 2014, the Cleveland Police Department got a call about a dog that was cruelly beaten in the middle of a street. But one officer went above and beyond the call of duty to make the pooch feel loved again.
Cleveland Police responded to a call about a dog being beaten in the middle of a street in 2014. A man injured the dog with a brick and then he started choking him.
When the cops reached the scene, the dog jumped right into their car and showed them his sweet side.
Officer, Brandon Melbar, knew how tough it was for pit bulls to be adopted from shelters, so he agreed to foster Harvard. But he fell in love with the dog and decided to adopt him.
However, this wasn’t the only time a Cleveland Police Officer did so much for a rescue dog. Officer John Lyons, who is pictured lying with a sick and pregnant dog in the photo below, took her home. He and his wife kept the dog and all of her puppies too.
Harvard got the medical attention he required and now he is living a normal life.
And it’s all because of officer Melbar!
What an uplifting story! The world would definitely be a better place with people like this officer!
