Sometimes, people don’t seem to understand that animals have feelings too. They can get very attached to the ones they are comfortable with. People understand just how attached cats and dogs tend to be with their owners, so it’s surprising why they don’t think other animals feel the same way. Animals can suffer from separation anxiety if they are separated from the ones they love, and that is what happened to a goat named Mr. G.
He had been rescued from a case of animal hoarding. But rescuers had no idea how close he was to a donkey named Jellybean, until they separated the pair. Mr. G became extremely depressed and refused to eat for 6 days.
He laid in a corner and was totally shut down. The rescuers realized something had to be done. So a volunteer drove 14 hours to transport Jellybean to the farm Mr. G was living in. As soon as Jellybean was unloaded, Mr. G was able to sense him. He perked up considerable after reuniting with his dear friend. After spending some time together, he was a brand new goat again!
This goes to show just the extent of attachment animals can have with each other. Love is love, and its amazing how it brought two animals of different species so close to each other!
